Yale Center for British Art

The Yale Center for British Art wasn't quite as cozy as the Yale Art Gallery Across the Street. It seemed to lack that antique-y charm that the YAG had. It was much more a view of sleek modernism inside, and the staff seemed less friendly too! There was, however, this man outside playing both his guitar and harmonica through some intense Neil Young songs which was perfect for the rainy, dreary day that I went on. It's possible I'm just partial to the YAG though. :)

Great pictures Kelly. I agree with you about the building. I liked the building, but I like the older buildings much beeter too.

The YAG will be opening again soon... the part you saw was just a tiny part of the whole. The main building was also designed by the architect Louis Kahn. It to has cast concrete walls, stair wells and lots of glass.
